Good Luck in 2008
Author:Lisa
Hello,
I am glad to see your back on line. East coast lobster sure was missed!
I want to wish all the fishermen good luck in 2008. Stay safe!
And here's hopping that you get a decent price for your catch. (What ever you are fishing for)
I just want to say that maybe the buyers could take into consideration that the cost of living, the cost of bait and gear, and the cost of FUEL is GOING UP!!!!
As should the cost of our catch!! Not down! This is a primary source industry, and these men and women are out there working hard and risking their lives. Their doing all the hard work, only to come in to find out that the price of their catch is down, fuel went up, and the grocery store is selling their product for 5 times what they, there selves got for them.
Pretty discouraging if you ask me, especially if the grocery stores are claiming that they can only make a 1 dollar profit off of the product. 1 dollar!!!! JEEE...I wonder who makes the rest! Not the poor buggers out there doing all the work!
At the rate it is going, nobody will be able to fuel up their boats to go fishing.
Who wins? Nobody!
It would be nice to see all the fishermen get together and put a stop to all this nonsense. But that won't happen! You know it, I know it, but most importantly, the buyers know it!
Have a nice day, and stay safe.
